Your data stays on your phone

Brainy generates its sounds on your device, in real time. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no server. It does not collect personal data about you.

Who we are

This policy covers the Brainy mobile app for Android and iOS. Brainy is published by Kristijan Georgiev, who is responsible for how the app handles data. You can reach us at kristijan@dynamikapp.com.

What Brainy keeps on your device

To remember how you left it, Brainy saves a few settings in the app's private storage on your phone. None of it identifies you, and none of it is sent anywhere.

Safety notice acknowledgement: That you have read the safety notice, so it is not shown before every session.
Volume and fade-out: Your in-app volume level and whether sessions fade out at the end.
Last played preset: Which built-in preset you played most recently, so it is ready to resume.
Free tuning settings: The modality, frequencies and session length you last used in free tuning.

What Brainy reads but does not keep

Binaural beats need headphones. While the app is running it checks whether your audio is going to headphones, so it can tell you when a binaural session is playing through a speaker. It only learns the type of audio output. It does not record this, and does not read device names or any other information about your accessories.

What Brainy does not collect

No account, name, email address or phone number.
No analytics, usage tracking or crash reports.
No advertising identifiers, and no advertising.
No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
No health or fitness data.

Brainy does not connect to the internet. The Android app does not request network access, and the app sends no data to us or to any third party. Because we never receive your data, we cannot sell, share or disclose it.

App stores and your device

You get Brainy through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google handle downloads and updates, and may collect data about them, under their own privacy policies. Your phone's operating system may also back up app settings as part of your device backup, under your platform provider's terms.

Deleting your data

Everything Brainy stores is on your device. Clearing the app's data in your phone's settings, or uninstalling the app, deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to export or erase, including under the GDPR or the CCPA. You are still welcome to contact us with any privacy question.

Children

Brainy is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Brainy handles data differently, we will update this policy and its effective date before that version is released. We will not start sending any data off your device without first saying so here.
